Personal Trainer for Bellevue: fix the pain, energy, and posture behind a desk-heavy life

If your work lives on a screen, your body knows it. Tight hips from sitting through back-to-back meetings. A low back that starts talking to you by 3pm. Shoulders that have crept up toward your ears since the last sprint. Energy that dips hard in the afternoon no matter how much coffee you throw at it. I coach Bellevue professionals who are done treating all of that as normal.

I’m Tyler Greer, and I work as a personal trainer for Bellevue clients out of a private studio in Renton, about fifteen minutes from downtown Bellevue straight down I-405. Some clients drive over and train with me in person. Others I coach fully online and never set foot in the studio. Both work. What matters more than which one you pick is that we find why your body feels the way it does, instead of piling a harder workout on top of an already stressful week.

Why a Bellevue desk job wears the body down

Sitting for eight or ten hours a day isn’t neutral. Your hip flexors shorten. The muscles that hold your shoulders back quietly switch off. Your head drifts forward over the keyboard and your neck pays for it. Do that five days a week for a few years and you land in the pattern I see all the time: a rounded upper back, a cranky low back, and a nervous system that never fully powers down.

Stress piles on top. A high-pressure role keeps your body in a low-grade fight-or-flight state, and that leaks into your sleep, your appetite, and whatever energy you have left once the workday ends. I’ve written about the sitting-and-posture side of this in my piece on low-back pain from a desk job, and about the specific rounded-shoulder pattern in upper crossed syndrome. If the tiredness is the part that bugs you most, start with why your energy crashes in the afternoon.

Two ways to train, one Renton studio

There’s one physical location, and it’s in Renton at 2525 Aberdeen Ave NE. I’ll be straight with you about that, since there’s no Bellevue studio. From Bellevue it’s a short run down 405, roughly fifteen minutes outside the worst of rush hour, and plenty of clients slot it into their week without much fuss.

Train in person

Come to the Renton studio and we work hands-on: movement screens, corrective work, real coaching on how you lift and move. Good if you want eyes on you and the accountability of a standing appointment.

Coach online

Rather train from your own home gym or your building’s fitness room? I coach remotely too, anywhere. You get a program built for your body, regular check-ins, and adjustments as things change. No commute at all.

How I work: the root cause comes first

I’m a Master CHEK Practitioner, one of fewer than two hundred worldwide, and I’m certified in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. In plain terms, I don’t just hand you exercises. I look at the four things that decide how you feel day to day: how you move, how you eat, how you sleep, and how you handle stress. Sort out the actual driver and the pain and fatigue usually ease off with it.

What working together looks like

  1. A free discovery call. We talk about what’s going on, what you’ve already tried, and whether I’m the right fit. No pressure.
  2. An honest assessment. I screen your movement and posture and walk through your health history, so we both know what we’re actually dealing with.
  3. Phase 1, Rebuild. A focused stretch of coaching to correct the patterns behind your pain, build real strength, and get your energy back.
  4. Phase 2, Sustain. Once you’re solid, we keep it that way with a lighter membership or sessions when you want them.

What I help Bellevue clients with

  • Low-back and neck pain that flares up from long hours at a desk.
  • Rounded posture from years of screen time and forward-head sitting.
  • Afternoon energy crashes and the tired-but-wired feeling that rides along with a stressful job.
  • Getting strong safely if you’re coming back from a break, an injury, or starting later in life.
  • Sleep and stress that never quite settle no matter how productive the day looked.

Katie Milne coaches at the studio too. She runs in-person personal training with a Pilates-inspired take on strength and movement, so between the two of us we can match you to the style that fits. If you’re weighing whether to rebuild with a coach in your corner, my note on why strength training matters after 40 is a good place to read next.

A word on cost, since you’ll ask

I don’t lead with price, because the fit matters more, but I won’t hide it either. Phase 1 Rebuild coaching is where most people start. After that, staying strong runs through an Alumni membership at $275 a month, or you can book sessions a la carte at $175 each. We figure out what actually makes sense for you on the call, once I know your situation.

Common questions from Bellevue

Do you have a studio in Bellevue?

No. My only studio is in Renton, at 2525 Aberdeen Ave NE, about fifteen minutes from Bellevue down I-405. Bellevue clients either drive over to train in person or work with me fully online. Both get you real coaching.

How far is the Renton studio from downtown Bellevue?

Roughly fifteen minutes outside of rush hour, straight down 405. A lot of clients fit a session in before or after work without it eating their whole evening.

I sit all day and my back and posture are a mess. Can you actually help?

That’s most of who I work with. I screen how you move, find the patterns your desk has built in, and give you corrective work plus strength training to undo them. This is coaching and corrective exercise, not medical treatment, and for a lot of people it’s exactly what’s been missing.

What’s the difference between in-person and online coaching?

In person, I’m hands-on with your movement in the studio. Online, I build your program, we check in regularly, and I adjust as you progress. The thinking behind both is the same. You just pick the one that fits your schedule.

What happens on the free discovery call?

We talk. You tell me what’s going on and what you’ve tried, I tell you honestly whether I can help, and if it’s a fit we map out a starting point. No hard sell, no obligation. You can book it here.
