How is this different from a regular personal trainer?
Most trainers prescribe programs based on your goals. Tyler starts by identifying what dysfunction is present in your body — postural imbalances, movement compensations, nutritional gaps, stress load — and addresses those first. It's closer to physical therapy plus functional medicine than traditional personal training.
What does the Root Cause Assessment include?
A 2-hour session covering full postural screening, movement assessment, nutritional pattern review, lifestyle and stress evaluation, and a detailed health history. You leave with written findings and a personalized roadmap — not a generic plan.
Do I need to be in good shape to start?
Not at all. The assessment is designed for people at every starting point — especially those dealing with chronic issues, injuries, or unexplained symptoms. Many of Tyler's longest-running clients came in having never worked with a trainer before.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds?
Many HSA and FSA accounts can be used for corrective exercise and wellness services. Tyler provides detailed written findings that some clients use to support reimbursement requests. Contact us and we can provide documentation if needed.
What if I'm not in the Renton / Seattle area?
Online coaching is fully available worldwide. Tyler works with clients across the US and internationally through structured online programs with regular check-ins. The assessment can be conducted remotely with excellent results.
What happens after the assessment? Am I locked into anything?
Tyler presents his findings and recommends the most appropriate next step — whether that's an in-person training block, online coaching program, or simply implementing the roadmap on your own. There is no pressure to commit to anything beyond the initial assessment.
